The beaches of Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe and Sutton-on-Sea are home to a range of local wildlife throughout the year. We ask all visitors to our beaches to enjoy, respect and protect the area. Here’s how you can help.
Enjoy your visit & stay safe
The beaches in and around Mablethorpe are very safe for visitors, with many parts of the beaches looked over by lifeguards. We ask that all visitors follow a few simple rules to help ensure the safety of everyone.
If you are planning a walk along the beach or down one of the walking routes, please ensure you have prepared any relevant maps, guidebooks or other relevant information to take with you.
Take into account the weather forecast and the tidal times, and always let someone know where you are going, and what time you expect to return.
Respect people & place
If you’re visiting the beach via car, please ensure that you drive responsibly and park at one of the many designated car parks along the beachfront. The emergency services may need access to our beachfront, so access must be kept clear at all times. View more information on our car parks.
We ask all visitors to keep to the public footpaths and routes throughout the dunes. The dunes are not only home to many animals but also provide a vital role in maintaining the sea defences of Mablethorpe.
Remember to bring a bag and take your rubbish and food waste home. Public bins are available at several locations along the seafront. Litter spoils the beauty of our award-winning beaches and is dangerous to the local wildlife.
Protect the area & wildlife
We all have a responsibility to protect our coastal areas for the current and future generations of both people and wildlife!
We ask all visitors to our beaches to care for nature – please do not cause damage or disturbance to the beach or dunes. Leave rocks, stones, plants and trees as you find them, and take care not to disturb any wildlife that may be nesting on the ground within the dunes.
BBQs and open fires are not permitted on any of the local beaches.
