Last week, the seaside towns of Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe witnessed the incredible parade as the long-awaited Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe Carnival took centre stage.
The event fascinated residents and tourists alike with its creative Steampunk theme – capturing the essence of an era where steam power and innovation shaped the trajectory of human progress. Attendees were transported into a world where Victorian elegance merges with futuristic innovation. Elegant costumes with Victorian aesthetics and futuristic-looking gadgets sparked the imagination of attendees, young and old.
At the heart of the carnival was a parade that made its way through the High Street of Sutton. Participants and performers showcased their innovative Steampunk outfits, vehicles and dance routines. It left many onlookers in awe, as they dashed to get their cameras to capture the magic unfold. The parade was made up of many local businesses, groups and organisations, from the Women’s Institute to the local Scouting groups.
This celebration helped to bring the entire community together and enjoy the simple things in life – friends, family, and fun! The carnival offered a glimpse into the heart of our charming coastal towns and the hospitality that was extended to all who visited the seaside that weekend.

2024 Steampunk Carnival
