The beautiful beach of Sutton on Sea is a hidden gem along the Lincolnshire Coast. Renowned for its tranquillity, it makes for a more peaceful location compared to the bustling Mablethorpe Beach a few miles away.
The beach is much quieter than the neighbouring Mablethorpe beach, and with its miles of soft golden sands and a blue flag award for cleanliness, this beach is a popular destination for family days out.
With a coveted Blue Flag award for cleanliness, this picturesque stretch of coastline is a favoured spot for families seeking memorable days out by the sea.
Enjoy Traditional Beach Activities

Swimming in the Sea
Swimming is one of the favourite pastimes for visitors to Sutton on Sea and often is the best way to cool down after a hot summer walk.
While the sea is often quiet and calm, all visitors are asked to only swim between the red and yellow flags, which are marked out the patrolled areas by local lifeguards. People are urged not to use inflatables on our beach due to the dangers that can come with them.
Lifeguard Patrol Times
During 2024, the lifeguard will patrol the beach every day from 5th May – 1st September, 10 am – 6 pm.

Paddling Pool
The Maple Leaf Padding Pool is sadly closed during the 2024 season due to nearby, ongoing renovation works.

Beach Chalets For Hire
Due to the nearby renovation works, there are limited chalets available to hire this year. Please see The Corner House Cafe for more information.
