2026 Update
Sadly this year’s event has been cancelled. Here’s a quick message from the organisers:
It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of this year’s 1940s Weekend event.
Despite our team’s dedicated efforts to secure the necessary funding through grant applications, we have been unsuccessful for the 2026 season. As many of you know, our organization relies heavily on these grants to cover operational costs, ensuring that the proceeds from our other events can remain fully dedicated to supporting our partner Armed Forces charities.
While we are disappointed that we cannot gather this year, our commitment to this event remains steadfast. We are already looking toward the future and hope to share more positive news regarding a return in 2027.

2025’s Event
Poppies on the Prom is a free fun family day out in Mablethorpe, ran by Flanders Friends. All proceeds from the event are in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Last year’s event was held on the 9th – 10th August, and featured a wide range of live entertainment, craft and vintage stalls, games and family-fun.
